Join us for our spring Serve Day on Sunday April 19th at 10:30AM. THERE WILL NOT be a 9:00 AM first service. We will meet at 10:30 AM in the worship center for a few songs and then be introduced to the serve projects for the day. Lunch will be provided and there are service opportunities for all ages.
Project #1: Tree Removal

Be a blessing to a widow who lost her husband unexpectedly last fall. She lives by herself and is in need of volunteers to help clear tree limbs on her property. These limbs are already on the ground. We will provide a trailer to load the limbs on for removal. 

Possible tools needed: chains saws to cut to size.
Project #2: General Construction, Home Projects

Become a blessing to an elderly lady in our church. She is in need of building a wooden ramp off her porch. The porch has been known to be a trip hazard. Also building four window box bird feeders for windows. Some additional lawn work include pulling weeds, cleaning flower beds, and leaf removal.

Tools Needed: basic wood working tools, saws, hammers, etc. Rakes. Church will provide the lawn bags for lawn debris.

Minimum work group size: 6 people
Project #3: General Outdoor Maintenance

Let's help this widow whos husband passed away this past October. General projects that require assistance include small guttering to install, fixing a leak over the overhang, potentially replacing drywall in garage ceiling.

Tools Needed: basic construction items, saws, utility knives, hammers, etc.

Group Size Needed: 4-5 people minimum
Project #4: Random Acts of Kindness at Broadway St Laundromat

Join this team and become a blessing to residents who use the laundromat for their laundy needs. We will have donuts delivered to the facility and will be providing complimentary washing and drying loads for a select duration for those who visit the facility while we are present during Serve Day.

Group Size Needed: Minimum 4 people

Equipment Needed: N/A
Project #5: Kids Project at Baptist Village Retirement Home

This project is especially suited for kids of all ages and their parents. Our kids leaders will be taking our kids over to Baptist Village retirement home will children will sing and be a blessing to the residents. 

Important Details: 
Kids will arrive around 10:45am at the facility. There are no age limits for this project, all kids are invited. We will provide church van transportation for carpool needs.
Project #6: Community Cookout for those in need

Join this group and be a blessing to those in our community who are less fortunate. Our team will be setting up a mobile station near the Kings Inn hotel on 3rd Street. This team will help grill hamburgers and hot dogs and set up tables and chairs to invite the surrounding residents for a complimentary lunch and fellowship time to meet our serve team.

Important Details:
This project is NOT suited for small kids as the serve location will be stationed very close to 3rd St, a busy road in our town.

Equipment Needed: 
No equipment is needed. The church will provide the tables, chairs, serving equipment, and food.

Group Size Needed:
This group has no size limit and we encourage all friends who are unsure of where to serve or if the other groups are well staffed.




Project #7: 5th and 6th Grade

This serve team is restricted to kids in 5th and 6th grade. This team is led by the teachers of 5th and 6th grade. They will be meeting at the church before arriving at Homestead Assisted Living to be a blessing to the residents by serving them their lunch.

Group Size Needed: Unlimited (restricted to 5th and 6th graders)

Equipment Needed: N/A
